Lyrics written about my dad the day after he died. He died on February 1, 2004 of a brain embolism. When someone dies suddenly and suprisingly like that, I think you walk around in shock, lost, and in my case, I felt like a little kid again...just wanting my daddy back. Seeing him lying there so still...gone forever... is a picture I won't ever get out of my mind. I tried to convey that feeling in these lyrics. Vick's arrangement is perfect for this song. What an awesome musician!
